Quick Tips - Winter '94
Although we can't tell in Houston, with the cold weather season here, you need
to prep your house for a freeze.
- Wrap your pipes
- Ideally, use foam insulation from the home/hardware store. If you can't
get any, old rags wrapped with string or duct tape will do. Be sure
to cover pipes with at least 1/4 inch of material.
- Cover your plants
- Use plastic covers. Cloth covers can get weighed down with moisture and
break or damage plant limbs.
